(6 of 10) Trust is the essence of the concept of letting go and letting God. Letting go is the process of releasing your attachment to any people, things, situations, or circumstances in the physical world that you believe in some way can affect the realization of your good in your life. Letting go of your attachment to these things in terms of their perceived impact on you and your good requires enormous trust, for they have become critically important to you—in a positive or a negative sense. This importance results from your decision to give them power to affect you in one way or another, and the act of letting go of the influence you think they have over you is taking away that power and putting your trust in the only true power in the universe.

“The physical and the spiritual are one. They are not distinct entities, even though at times the physical aspect of your reality seems to be the entire reality. This is the challenge of this adventure: you must exist on the physical level until your time is up, yet living exclusively on the physical level misses the point. You are a spiritual being. You must remember and realize and accept that this is true, and then enjoy your adventure on the physical plane from the perspective of the spiritual, which is the true source of all of your good. Do not allow yourself to be deceived by the illusions.”
